Serving the Father

Do you serve for things or do you serve because you love Him?

Jesus didn’t have to serve and He definitely didn’t have to come to His own creation but He did. He didn’t complain, He wasn’t hesitant, and He certainly didn’t point out our flaws. He showed us how to love and worship the Father. He showed us how to walk in the authority given to us. He was and is our example of total and complete submission.

He not only told us about The Kingdom of Heaven, but He showed us how to live in it. Yet we didn’t and don’t pay attention even today.

I had a conversation with a friend and she was explaining to me how she saw people being told to clean the church. When I asked what was that supposed to do, she then explained that it was supposed to be serving. My question is who said that was serving, God or man? Serving is a heart issue. It’s a condition of love. You can clean the church as long as the day but if your heart isn’t in it and its not unto the Lord then whats is the point? It’s all in vain.

The next time you do something, no matter what it is, ask yourself : Why am I doing this?

Your answer will determine whether or not you are serving!
